Emissions
Due to the use of state-of-the art technology,
this technology emits fewer pollutants per energy unit than other
traditional types of combustion plants fired with fossil fuels.
Residues
The high efficiency combustion of waste
creates residues in the form of ash, iron and metals and residues
from the flue gas treatment.
Ash, known as bottom ash, is sorted and the majority
recycled for construction materials with a minimal amount needing
to go to landfill. Iron and metals are all recycled making further
savings. Other residues are treated and recovered to ensure maximum
efficiency of waste.
